Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy covers

This policy explains how the MediDoc TAPES 2026 mobile application (the “app”) handles information. The app is published for the 1st TAPES International Scientific Conference, “Current Approaches in Pediatric Endocrinology”, held in Baku on 27–28 November 2026.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal data through the app. The app has no registration, no login, no user profile and no server that receives information about you. We cannot identify you, and we do not know who has installed the app or how it is used.

3. Information stored on your device

So that the app remembers your choices between launches, the following is saved in the app’s private storage on your own phone or tablet. None of it leaves your device.

This information is not personal data about you in any identifiable sense, and we have no way of reading it. Deleting the app removes all of it from your device permanently.

4. Permissions the app asks for

Notifications

Requested only if you choose to set a reminder for a session. Reminders are scheduled locally, by your own device. The app does not use push notifications, does not register a push token, and no server can send you messages. If you decline the permission, the rest of the app works normally.

Calendar

Requested only when you tap “Add to calendar” for a session. The app writes that single event into the calendar you select. It does not read your existing events, does not modify or delete anything it did not create, and never transmits calendar information anywhere.

Permissions the app does not request

The app does not use your location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, files, or the device advertising identifier. These permissions are explicitly blocked in the app’s configuration.

5. What we do not do

• We do not use analytics or usage-measurement tools of any kind.
• We do not work with advertising networks and show no targeted advertising.
• We do not track you across apps or websites.
• We do not create profiles or make automated decisions about you.
• We do not sell, rent or share data with third parties — there is no data to share.
• We do not process payments inside the app.

6. Links that leave the app

Some buttons open a service outside the app. When that happens you leave the app and the privacy policy of that service applies:

• Registration and payment open our website, medidoc.az, in your browser. Registration and any payment are handled entirely on the website, never inside the app. The website’s own privacy terms apply there.
• Abstract submission opens the relevant page on medidoc.az.
• Sponsor banners. The home screen shows banners for the congress sponsors. They are plain images shipped inside the app, chosen by the organisers. No advertising network is involved, nothing about you is measured or sent anywhere, and the banner you see is not chosen based on anything we know about you — we know nothing about you. Tapping one opens that sponsor's own website in your browser, where their terms apply.
• “Open in Maps” hands the venue address to the map app installed on your device (Apple Maps, Google Maps or similar).
• Calling or emailing the venue opens your phone or email app with the details filled in. You decide whether to send or dial.

7. Conference content updates

The full conference programme is built into the app and works with no internet connection. The app may request an updated programme file from medidoc.az so that late changes to the schedule reach you. Such a request contains no personal data and no identifier of any kind. As with any visit to a website, our web server may record the request in standard technical logs (including the IP address and the type of device), which are used only to operate and secure the website.

8. Children

The app is a professional conference companion intended for physicians, researchers and other healthcare professionals attending the congress. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

9. Keeping and deleting information

Because nothing is sent to us, there is nothing for us to keep or delete on your behalf. You remain in control at all times:

• Clear your bookmarks and reminders in More → Clear my program.
• Withdraw the notification or calendar permission in your device settings at any time.
• Uninstall the app to erase everything it stored, permanently and immediately.

10. Your rights

Data-protection law — including the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Personal Data and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation — gives you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection in relation to personal data held about you. Since the app does not collect or transmit personal data, we hold no such data to disclose, correct or erase. If you believe otherwise, write to gunduzahmadov@gmail.com and we will respond.

11. The app stores

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Those platforms collect their own information about downloads, purchases and crashes under their own privacy policies, independently of us. We receive only aggregate, anonymous statistics from them — for example, how many times the app has been installed. We never receive information that identifies an individual user.

12. Changes to this policy

If the app’s handling of information changes, we will update this page and change the version and effective date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
